EMMA SWENSSON

ABOUT

Emma Swensson is a freelance oboist (english horn/oboe), based in Malmö, Sweden, with folk and world music as home-genre and source of repertoire and inspiration. Emma graduated 2014 from Malmö Academy of Music with a bachelor degree in world music and has since over a decade been taking part of ethno, music festivals and jams in Sweden and Europe interpreting music from different folk music traditions.

Emma currently work with different music and theatre groups as a musician, actor and composer, mixing music with theatre to express and interpret serious subjects and feelings for the younger audience. Emma Swensson also lead workshops for double reed instrumentalists and arrange music events.
